Petroleum related feul, oil and oil contaminated water
These materials can be found in feul tanks, oil storage tanks and inside pipes. Oil contaminated water can also be found in bottom low areas.

Oil Disposal and recycling
Undered the supervision of Jiangyin Harboy Supervision Authority, oil on board is collected and handled properly. It is also recycled for the purpose of reusing.

Prevention of Oil Pollution

All oil on board should be removed cautiousely to prevent spill. When oil leakage occures, oil spread should be controlled quickly within a small area. Oily water is collected with two 50m3 collection pools. Oily water separator is used to collect oil.

a). Examining

Using oxygen apparatus examining gas content by the specialists from Chengxi Ship yard that got authorization by JiangYin Harbor Supervision Authority for men can be safe for entry or hot work.

b) Hot working

As soon as we are breaking the incision with hot work we must use squirt gun by special men for forbidding the fire or some dangerous.

c) Prevention of Oil Pollution
-All oil board should be removed
-Oil spill though oil pipes is strictly prohibited
-When in oil leakage, oil spread should be controlled within a certain area
-Oily water separator should be used to collect oil before discharging that minimizes the effects on intake of Jiangyin which is located 5km downstream

d) Recycling
To cooperate with Jiangyin Harbor Supervision Authority. Oil on board is collected and handled properly. It is also recycled for the purpose of reuing.

e) Contract
Our yard signed the contract with the special oil team who belong the department of Jiangyin government. They use or oil-water pump transfer the oil water from the vessel to their barge. Then they transport these to their oil or oily water apart center for further separate water from oil.

f) Oil sediment
Difficult to disposal. The most of oil sediment subsided the bottom of the vessel. Because the quantity of oil sediment is little so our yard dispatch some men down shovel it out.

3.       Oil Spill Prevention and Consequences

A special supervising team is responsible for removal, collection of oil, pollution prevention and oil transport.

Cooling oil of transformer should be put in labeled container according to the regulations of transport of dangeerous goods. To minimize the chance of oil pollution, contingency plan of dangerous goods has been develpoed.

Set up oil screens around the ship and make the emergency equipment ready at all time.
